Having problems with recording, seems that when I go to record with the default recorder the music jumps way ahead and then finally slows down, I restored my registry and when I opened Bix and went to record it asked to load some controll which I did, then it worked fine ONCE! I don't want to keep restoring my registry to record, so any suggestions? Thanx, John

I am having problems with the recorder skipping as well. the music and vocals get all out of sync.

We are working to fix a problem with the synchronization during preview. The fix is being tested now and should be in place in the next day or two.
However, this should only be a problem during the preview. If you create an entry, it will be uploaded properly. And it will play back properly.

Bix Team: Sorry to disagree Please check out my entry at the Karaokefest - Male Audio As you can hear, the entry playback is the same as it was during the recording preview. It is an out of sync mess. At the same time, I recorded it without problems except for the track skippin' the intro. Keep working friends. I have faith in you. Tonmay

Turns out that we now know what some of you have figured out. That is that the recorded version can have skips as well. We are continuing to work on a solution but the challenge has been that it works fine on all the computers we have tested. We may ask some of you to help us test.
We appreciate your patience as we try and get to the bottom of this.

We have just completed the testing of an improved recorder that should address the issues that were causing looping, skipping and sync issues in Karaoke.
It is now live on the site. Please give it a try and email us at help@bix.com if you continue to have problems.

I just tried it & it did the same thing it did last week. It skips to have way through the song.

Part of the problems (skippings in the recorded version) seems to be gone with the new recorder version. Other problems (skipping of playback halfway through the song) are still there!

The new recorder helped some of you but issues still exist.
We believe we have a fix for the sound issues that is being tested right now. It will take several more days of testing to confirm that it fixes the problem.
Check the Bix Announcements for a post that will let you know when the fix is in. If you still have issues after that, please email help@bix.com and we'll work with you to resolve it.

Tried it again. Nope. Is even worse. Now song will not play past first 5 seconds. Guess there is still a bug hiding. Evenutally maybe my computer and the recorders here will get along and play nice. Will keep checking back.

Without reviewing all the above posts, here is what is WORKING for me and I hope it helps. I use the DEFAULT recorder only. It always produces the best sound quality for us. If it skips on the first or second try I just push RECORD AGAIN... so far, so good!! Deb

:-[I have tried the latest recorder and it appears to work fine about halfway thru the song then I start hearing a clacking noise and the drums appear to be out of sync with the music and there is also an echo in the music. Grrr. this is getting ridiculous but I have faith that you guys can fix this, meanwhile I'll continue to record on Ksolo their site works, but I have to pay for it, maybe that's why. bolinlamar
