If you are playing back an entry and it skips a bit at the beginning, this is not a problem with the recording. The entry is beginning to play before it has been downloaded completely. If this happens, you can press the "pause" button right away and wait while the purple bar underneath the video window grows more to the right. This indicates the progress of the video downloading. As soon as it has downloaded more, press play again.
Please note, this should not occur when you are previewing a recording you just made. This is only an issue when playing back an entry previously recorded. If you experience playback issues while you are still recording and previewing, please email help@bix.com and we can address the issue.

Please help me understand why when I record the song is already started and when I preview ...the music is already started and don't match the song, And in a video for example I get to hear the song before I see myself singing it . Thank You, Meechie.

Meechie, we are working to improve the sync issues during preview. However, when you upload the song and create an entry, the song should be in sync. If it is not, in sync and the singing and the video do not match please email help@bix.com and let us know which entry is out of sync so that we can look at it.

The flash recorder is in sync but sound quality is terrible. It sounds like you are singing with a mouth full of marbles and spitting. The default recorder starts the words in the middle of the song. I have tried downloading the Active X recorder 3 different times. Is there a way to adjust or fix either of these problems?

:'(This site is very frustrating!!! I downloaded the recorder,..when I preview the song I've recorded, the background music is all jumbled, and starts distorting. It sounds awful!! I'd really like to enter your contests, but I can't. Please fix this soon, or I'm going else where...

Marysol, we're sorry that you are having a frustrating experience. This site is absolutely for fun so we want to make sure you get your share!
We have found yet another cause for the skipping and sync problems. We have made the fix and are currently testing it so that we are sure that it helps and doesn't break something else.
This will take a few more days to test thoroughly.
We will post something in announcements when the fix is rolled out. Then give it a try and if you are still having issues, please email help@bix.com and we will get to the bottom of this.

I am having trouble with the video recording. I can record audio with my regular vocal mic,which is run through my karaoke machine. I have had several recordings not play after having created entry. BUT, when I try to do video, 1st, I disconnected my mic completely so only the camera was trying to catch my vocals. This worked, but the sound is as if it is in slow motion, and so is the video.
