I'm fairly new to bix and was exicted to find it. After doing some research I decided to purchase some basic home recording equipment, not only for Bix, but for my personal use also. Basically I've tweaked and tweaked and tweaked. As for my setup I'm using a Peavey PV6 mixer, Shure PG58, all going from the main outputs on top of the mixer to the first "line in" on my Soundblaster Audigy 2 soundcard on the back of my Desktop. I'm using Samson studio "closed back" headphones that I plug into the side of my Boston Acoustic digital media speakers. I use the newest version of IE and Windows XP (all updated including soundcard). I have all of the settings on my mixer at normal levels and my mic gain is between 4 and 5 usually. I have been using the Beta recorder and I really like how it counts down so you have time to prepare and the layout of it. While recording and monitoring the song with my headphones it sounds great... THEN... after I create it and play it back on my speakers it sounds like a tin can and theres all kinds of vocal distortions, pops, cracks, etc.... Some recordings even seem to play "out of tune" But yet, I plug in the Samson headphones and it improves the sound 10 fold! ?? What's up with this?? lol... Is there a quick fix? I'm assuming most people won't always be listening to my stuff over headphones all the time. I haven't seen anyone post this actual problem, but I have noticed this very problem with a lot of people's recordings that I've listened to. Is it my speakers?? They sound GREAT with everything else. Im at a loss here..lol! Advice will be GREATLY appreciated! THANKS!!

Hi, I think someone contacted you from Bix. Let me know if they didn't!
