Hi folks...
Just thought I'd start a discussion about this sound card. I've been running one and really like it. Lots of features and effects. I'm curious what some of your favorite settings are and what you think of the card overall. I'd also like to know what other equipment you are running in addition to your X-fi...
Happy singing, Sky

I have the XiFi Extreme. Tremendous card for listening to music. I haven't made up my mind on recording music, because I haven't tried another sound cards for recording. I also have the XiFi I/O, and am plugging into a Presonus mic preamp.

I've got the Sound Blaster X-fi Elite Pro. It's incredible for recording. What's really nice is that it handles most of the processing of sound effects and anything related to ASIO and VST. Keeps my computer processor freed up so it doesn't slow down on me when I want to apply a LOT of different effects.
Basically, I have a NADY SCM 960 condensor mic plugged into a Behringer Eurorack UB1202 mixer to supply the phantom power and to adjust EQ settings.
I then use the onboard settings on the sound card for reverb and compression.
